2000 employees are assigned to complete a project. At the endofthefirst year, 15% of the number of employees are decreased and at the end of the second year again 10% of the number of employees are decreased. However, to complete the project in time, the number of employees are increased by 10% at the end ofthe third year. What was the number of employees working during the fourth year?
Total Employees = 2000 at the end of the first year 15% decreased
so total employees at the end of the first year = $$2000 - 2000 \dfrac{15}{100}$$
$$\Rightarrow 2000 - 300 = 1700 $$
At the end of the second year 10% of decreased total employee = $$1700 - 1700 \dfrac {10}{100}$$
 $$\Rightarrow 1530 $$
the number of employed increased by 10% at the end of the third year so the total number of employees work during fourth yearÂ
$$\Rightarrow 1530 +1530\times \dfrac{10}{100}$$
$$\Rightarrow 1530 + 153 $$ = 1683 Ans
