The ratio of the present ages of Rahul and Deepak is 2 : 3. After five years, Rahul will be 31 years old. What will be the age of Deepak after three years?

Solution

After 5 years, Rahul's age = 31 years

=> Rahul's present age = 31 - 5 = 26 years

Also, The ratio of the present ages of Rahul and Deepak is 2 : 3

=> Deepak's present age = $$\frac{3}{2} \times 26 = 39$$

$$\therefore$$ Deepak's age after 3 years = 39 + 3 = 42 years
