The table shows the production of different types of cars by a company (in thousands) in 5 years.

The total production of type B cars in all the five years is what percent more than the total production of type A, B and D cars in 2017?

Solution

As per the given table,

Total production of type B car in all the five years $$=54+45+47+50+40=236$$ thousands

Total production of car of type A, B and D in 2017 $$=43+50+67=160$$ thousands

Hence the required percentage $$=\dfrac{236-160}{160}=\dfrac{76\times 100}{160}=47.5\%$$
