He wants his team to have two batsmen, two bowlers and two wicketkeepers. Among the players Rohan, Raveena, Sonal and Animesh are batsmen Brijesh, Cynthia and Manish are bowlers. Similarly, Ruby, Bhuvan, Tiya and Yash are wicketkeepers.
Some of the other conditions are as follows:
i) Ruby and Yash will always be selected together.
ii) If Sonal is selected, then neither Manish nor Bhuvan can be selected.
iii) If Raveena is selected, then Bhuvan is definitely selected.
iv) Tiya and Yash can never be selected together.
If Raveena is selected, then who among the following will definitely NOT be selected?
From statement III in the question, if Raveena is selected, then Bhuvan has to be definitely selected. Given that Raveena is selected, we can say that Bhuvan is also selected.
From statement II, we can see that Sonal can be selected only when none of Manish and Bhuvan are chosen.
We know that Bhuvan is selected. So, Sonal can't be chosen.
