If two successive discounts of 25% and 30% are given, then what will be the ratio of marked price to selling price?
Let marked price = Rs. $$100x$$
Price after 1st discount of 25% = $$100x-\frac{25}{100}\times100x=Rs.$$ $$75x$$
Selling Price after 2nd discount of 30% = $$75x-\frac{30}{100}\times75x=Rs.$$ $$52.5x$$
=> Ratio of marked price to selling price = $$\frac{100x}{52.5x}$$
= $$\frac{1000}{525}=40:21$$
=> Ans - (B)
