The curved surface area and the diameter of a right circular cylinder are $$132 cm^2$$ and 7 cm respectively. Find its height (in cm).

Solution

Let height of cylinder = $$h$$ cm and radius, $$r=\frac{7}{2}$$ cm

Curved surface area = $$2\pi r h=132$$

=> $$2\times\frac{22}{7}\times\frac{7}{2}\times h=132$$

=> $$22h=132$$

=> $$h=\frac{132}{22}=6$$ cm

=> Ans - (D)
