A motor car moves at a speed of 72 km/h and 54 km/h after and before repairing respectively.

Speed after repairing = 72 km/h

Speed before repairing = 54 km/h

It covers X distance in 6 hours after repairing.

$$\frac{X}{6}\ =\ 72$$

$$X=6\times\ 72$$

X = 432

Time taken to cover 5X distance before repairing = $$\frac{5X}{54}$$

= $$\frac{5\times432}{54}$$

= $$5\times8$$

= 40 hours
