Solution

The numbers '5' and '2' are alternatively added.

3 + 5 = 8

8 + 2 = 10

10 + 5 = 15

15 + 2 = 17

17 + 5 = 22

22 + 2 = 24

24 + 5 = 29

29 + 2 = 31
