The ratio of three numbers is 5: 6: 8. If the sum of the three numbers is 380, then
what is the smallest among the three numbers?

Solution

Let three numbers be $$5x,6x$$ and $$8x$$ respectively.

Sum = $$5x+6x+8x=380$$

=> $$x=\frac{380}{19}=20$$

$$\therefore$$ Smallest number = $$5\times20=100$$

=> Ans - (D)
