The ratio of two numbers is 6 : 11 and their difference is 65. What will be the smaller number among both the numbers?

Solution

Let the numbers be $$6x$$ and $$11x$$

Difference = $$11x-6x=65$$

=> $$x=\frac{65}{5}=13$$

$$\therefore$$ Smaller number = $$6\times13=78$$

=> Ans - (D)
