The ratio of speed of three racers is 3 : 4 : 6. What is the ratio of time taken by the three racers to cover the same distance?

Solution

Ratio of speed = 3 : 4 : 6

Also, $$speed\propto\frac{1}{time}$$

=> Ratio of time taken = $$\frac{1}{3}:\frac{1}{4}:\frac{1}{6}$$

Multiplying by L.C.M.(3,4,6) = 12

= $$12(\frac{1}{3}:\frac{1}{4}:\frac{1}{6})$$

= $$4:3:2$$

=> Ans - (C)
