Δ XYZ is right angled at Y. If m∠Z = 30°. What is the length of YZ (in cm), if ZX = 9 cm?

Solution

Given : ZX = 9 cm and $$\angle$$ Z = $$30^\circ$$

To find : YZ = ?

Solution : In $$\triangle$$ XYZ,

=> $$cos(30^\circ)=\frac{YZ}{ZX}$$

=> $$\frac{\sqrt3}{2}=\frac{YZ}{9}$$

=> $$YZ=\frac{9\sqrt3}{2}$$ cm

=> Ans - (B)
