The pie chart given below shows the break-up of number of hours of teaching various subjects at an institute by Mr. Raghav.Â
Mr. Raghav taught Geometry for 36 hours. If the time taken in teaching Ratio consitutes one-fourth of the time for Arithmetic, then for how much time (in hours) did he taught the topic of Ratio?
Let total time taken = $$100x$$ hours
Time taken to teach Geometry = $$\frac{6}{100}\times100x=6x$$ hours
According to ques, => $$6x=36$$
=> $$x=\frac{36}{6}=6$$
=> Time taken to teach Arithmetic =Â $$\frac{46}{100}\times100x=46x$$ hours
= $$46\times6=276$$ hours
$$\therefore$$ Time required to teach ratio = $$\frac{276}{4}=69$$ hours
