However, getting that acceptance calls for careful planning and thorough comprehension of the selection procedure.
Hence, we have given the complete eligibility criteria and admission process for the PGP at IIM Indore in this blog. We'll walk you through the requirements for qualifying, go over the three-step selection process, and provide insightful advice to ensure you succeed in every way.
IIM Indore Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for IIM Indore's PGP course, you must hold a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA. This condition is 45% for SC/ST/PwD categories. So, this is a relief since it's not 60% like IIM Kozhikode.
- One thing to keep in mind is that the bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification obtained by you should be of a minimum duration of 3 years after completing 12th grade.
So, that's it! This is the eligibility criteria for the course. Did you notice that there are no eligibility criteria for 10th and 12th marks here? But it's not so simple because there's a surprise further. Let's look at the further stages of selection.
IIM Indore Admission 2024Β Selection Criteria
Stage 1
This is the minimum eligibility. This stage looks at whether you are a part of the candidate pool they are looking for. Only applicants who crack the CAT exam minimum sectional and overall percentile will be shortlisted for stage 2 of the selection process.

Quick tip: A wide range of materials are available on Cracku.in to help you do well on every CAT section. With our comprehensive mock examinations and topic-specific courses, we can help you get the best possible CAT score.
You must score above the minimum percentile to get an interview call. This means that even if you score a 99 percentile overall, but a 79.9 percentile in one section, you would not stand a chance at IIM Indore. Now, if you check all these boxes, your profile will be considered for calculating the composite score that takes you to the interview at IIM Indore.
Stage 2
In this stage, a sufficient number of candidates from each category (General, EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST and PwD) will be shortlisted using the merit list based on the composite score as mentioned in the table below:
Components | Score |
10th Standard/ SSC Score | 39* [πππππππππ‘πβππππ/ππππ₯βππππ ] |
12th Standard/ HSC Score | 20* [πππππππππ‘πβππππ/ππππ₯βππππ ] |

Diversity factor (DF) | 6 |
Composite Score | = Sum of the above scores |
Now, this is a complex table for many applicants to understand. 4 components are deciding your component score: 10th & 12th score, CAT overall score, and Diversity Factor. Work experience is not given any weightage at this stage. This means they won't give any marks for work experience even if you have any.
The above table shows us that IIM Indore has a 59% weightage to 10th and 12th marks and only a 35% weightage to CAT scores.

Composite Score | = Sum of the above scores |
The weightage considered for this composite score is different from that for the previous one. Firstly, they are not considering the 12th marks anymore. Secondly, the weightage given to 10th marks is suddenly declined. The weightage given to CAT scores is somewhat similar to the previous stage. Moreover, 50% weightage is given to your interview scores. A point to be noted here is that there are no gender or academic diversity points given at this stage.
