In a school there are 1500 students, 44% of them are girls. Monthly fee of each boy is 540 and fee of each girl is 25% less than that of a boy. The sum of fees of boys & girl is

Solution

Total students = 1500

Number of girls = $$\frac{44}{100} \times 1500=660$$

=> Number of boys = $$1500-6600=840$$

Fees of each boy = Rs. 540

=> Fees of each girl = $$\frac{75}{100} \times 540=Rs.$$ $$405$$

$$\therefore$$ Total fees of boys and girls = $$(840 \times 540)+(660 \times 405)$$

= $$4,53,600+2,67,300=Rs.$$ $$7,20,900$$

=> Ans - (C)
