A train moves at the speed of 80 km/h and crosses a platform in 0.75 minutes. If the length of the train is equal to the length of the platform, then what is the length of the platform?
Solution
speed = $$\frac{length\ of\ train+length\ of\ platform}{time}$$
Let length of train = l = length of platform
80×$$\frac{5}{18}$$=$$\frac {l+l}{0.75× 60}$$
l = 500 metre
