MICA Application Form Out: The exam dates for both stages of the MICAT 2025 have been announced by Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad. On December 7, the first part of the MICAT exam will take place. However, the exam for the second phase is scheduled for January 25. MICAT 2025 registration for each of the two exam phases will be made possible by MICA on the official website, mica.ac.in. Candidates may now register for the MICAT exam's first phase. November 22 is the last date for applying to the MICAT (I) exam.

All applicants will receive their hall ticket on December 4 for the first phase exam and January 22 for the MICAT (II) exam, in accordance with the dates of the MICAT exams. When creating the GE-PI shortlist for PGDM admissions, MICA takes into account the better of two MICAT scores.

The candidate's overall performance in the CAT/XAT/GMAT, the MICAT exam, the GE-PI, academic standing, and other factors determine the final MICAT exam results for 2024–2025. What is MICAT Exam?

The MICAT (MICA Admission Test) is an MBA entrance exam conducted by the Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA) for admission into its flagship PGDM-C (Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Communications) program. MICAT is unique because it assesses candidates not only on their general aptitude but also on their creative and analytical skills, making it different from traditional MBA entrance exams.

The exam consists of multiple sections, including psychometric tests, descriptive writing, divergent and convergent thinking, verbal ability, quantitative ability, and general awareness. MICAT is conducted twice a year, and candidates are required to have valid CAT, XAT, or GMAT scores to be eligible for the test.

MICAT Application Form 2025

The MICAT 2025 application form for Phase 1 is now available online. The registration started on September 30, 2024, and will close on November 22, 2024. Phase 1 of the MICAT exam is scheduled for December 7, 2024, while Phase 2 will be held on January 25, 2025, with registration for Phase 2 opening on November 25, 2024.

Steps to apply for MICAT 2025

To apply for MICAT 2025, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to MICA’s official website and select the link for MICAT 2025 registration.
  2. Create an Account: Click on "New Registration" and provide your basic details such as name, email, and phone number to create a login ID and password.
  3. Fill Out the Application Form: Log in with your credentials, and fill out the form with personal, academic, and professional information.
  4. Upload Documents: Upload your passport-size photograph and signature as per the prescribed format (JPG/JPEG, max 80KB each)​.
  5. Choose Exam Center: Select your preferred exam center from the list provided.
  6. Pay the Application Fee: Pay the fee of ₹2100 online via credit/debit card or net banking. Separate fees are required for Phase 1 and Phase 2.
  7. Submit and Download: Review the details, submit the form, and download a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.

MICAT Application Fees 2025

The application fee for MICAT 2025 is ₹2100 for all candidates, regardless of category. This fee applies to each phase of the exam, meaning if you wish to appear in both MICAT-I and MICAT-II, you'll need to pay the fee separately for each phase. The payment must be made online through credit/debit cards or net banking​.

Please note that the application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

MICAT Eligibility Criteria 2025

The eligibility criteria for MICAT 2025 are as follows:

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must hold a 3 year Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university. Final-year students can also apply but must complete their degree by June 30, 2025​. 
  • Percentages of marks of an applicant who is yet to complete the bachelor’s degree will be computed based on their available marks of the previous semesters/years.
  • If the applicants have undergone/completed an integrated master’s degree or dual degree directly after their 12th, the percentage of marks obtained as per their institute/university norms, which is considered as equivalent to bachelor’s degree will be considered.
  • Bachelor’s degree of an Indian applicant who has studied/studies oversees awarded by a college/institute/university, should be recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/other appropriate authorities

      Entrance Exam Requirement:

      Applicants need to have valid scores in one of the following exams: CAT 2024, XAT 2025, or GMAT (taken between 2022 and 2025). MICAT serves as an additional test, and candidates must qualify with these scores to be eligible for the selection process​.

      Age Limit:

      There is no specified age limit for applying to MICAT.

      MICAT Selection Process 2025

      The MICA selection process for 2025 is a multi-stage procedure aimed at evaluating candidates on several dimensions. Here's an overview of the process:

      Qualifying Entrance Exams: Candidates must have valid scores in one of the following entrance exams: CAT 2024, XAT 2025, or GMAT (taken between 2022 and 2025). These are the basic qualifying exams needed to be eligible for the MICAT exam​.

      MICAT: All eligible candidates are required to take the MICAT exam, which is conducted twice (MICAT-I and MICAT-II). The test consists of three sections: Psychometric Test, Descriptive Test, and a combination of Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness, and Divergent-Convergent Reasoning​.

      Shortlisting for Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI): Based on MICAT scores, candidates are shortlisted for further rounds. The shortlisting takes into account the best score from MICAT-I or MICAT-II along with CAT/XAT/GMAT scores.

      Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI): Shortlisted candidates participate in GE and PI rounds at MICA campuses. These rounds assess candidates' leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

      Final Selection: The final selection is based on a weighted combination of performance in the entrance exams, MICAT, GE, and PI. The composite score is typically divided as:

      • CAT/XAT/GMAT: 35%
      • MICAT: 25%
      • GE: 10%
      • PI: 20%​
      • 10th,12th, Graduation: 5% (10th-1.75%; 12th-1.75%; Graduation-1.5%)
      • Extra-Curricular, sports, academic diversity, gender diversity etc: 5% (This Information will be filled separately at the time of GE & PI)
      • Offer letters will be sent to candidates who feature in the final merit. If you do not accept the offer by the date mentioned in the offer letter, your name will automatically be removed from the merit list of the program.
